Quintetto di ottoni e pianoforte. Un connubio senza dubbio strano. Ma che funziona, in ambiti molto differenti fra loro: Nei “sinfonici” Quadri da un’esposizione di M.Mussorgsky gli accenni jazz della Rapsody in Blue di George Gershwin.

Ma anche un’intera “Gershwin Night”, con soli brani del compositore americano, riadattate per l’occasione: le sue Songs, An American in Paris, la Ambulatory Suite, i 3 Preludes, una monumentale Suite da Porgy and Bess.

Brass Quintet and Piano. An undoubtedly strange combination. But it works, in very different fields: In the “symphonic” Pictures from an Exhibition by M. Mussorgsky or in the jazz flavors of Gershwin’s Rapsody in Blue.
